RIP CURL
Founded in 1969 by Doug Warbrick and Brian Singer, Rip Curl emerged from the iconic surf town of Torquay, Australia. The brand began as a surfboard manufacturing company but quickly expanded into a more comprehensive range of surf-related products, including pioneering advancements in wetsuit technology. Rip Curl introduced the first steamer wetsuit, the "Rip Curl Elasto," in 1981, followed by the revolutionary "Rip Curl F-Bomb," the first-ever stitchless wetsuit, in 1996. The company's commitment to innovation continued with the release of the "FlashBomb," known for its quick-drying capabilities.
Today, Rip Curl maintains its reputation as a leader in the surf industry, celebrated for its high-quality wetsuits, surfwear, and accessories. The brand is also deeply committed to sustainability, evident in its "Saltwater Culture" collection, which uses recycled materials. Rip Curl sponsors a roster of world-class surfers, including three-time World Champion Mick Fanning and two-time World Champion Tyler Wright, further cementing its presence in the global surf culture.
